การอ่านข่าวสารจากหนังสือพิมพ์ จำ เป็นอย่างยิ่งต่อชีวิตประจำ วัน งานอาชีพ และการ
ศึกษาหาความรู้ การประยุกต์ทักษะและกลวิธีการอ่านในชั้นเรียนไปสู่การอ่านเพื่อความเข้าใจใน
ข่าวสารภาษาอังกฤษรูปแบบต่าง ๆ จากหนังสือพิมพ์ เป็นการพัฒนานิสัยรักการอ่านและการแสวง
หาความรู้ ทำ ให้ทันต่อเหตุการณ์ของโลกปัจจุบัน และส่งเสริมการเขียนสื่อความหมายได้อย่างมี

ชั่วโมงที่ 1
1. ขั้นนำ เสนอเนื้อหา (Presentation)
1. ครูพูดสนทนาเกี่ยวกับกิจกรรมการเรียนรู้กระบวนการประยุกต์ ซึ่งเป็นรูปแบบ
หนึ่งของการเรียนรู้ที่เน้นผู้เรียนเป็นสำ คัญ และวิธีการประเมินผลตามสภาพจริง เช่น การประเมิน
ผลการปฏิบัติกิจกรรม การประเมินผลสัมฤทธิ์ทางการเรียน การประเมินผลโดยใช้โครงงาน และ
การประเมินผลพฤติกรรมด้านคุณลักษณะ
2. ครูแจกหนังสือพิมพ์ Student Weekly ให้นักเรียนคนละ 1 ฉบับ แนะนำ ส่วน
ประกอบที่สำ คัญของหนังสือพิมพ์ทั้งฉบับ
3. นักเรียนทุกคนทำ ข้อทดสอบก่อนเรียน จำ นวน 10 ข้อ ใช้เวลาประมาณ 20 นาที
2. ขั้นปฏิบัติกิจกรรม (Practice)
- ครูแจกแบบฝึกหัดการอ่านเร็ว (Speed Reading) เป็นกิจกรรมการล่าหาคำ ตอบ
(Scavenger Hunt) ซึ่งประกอบด้วย คำ ถาม 25 ข้อ เพื่อฝึกทักษะการอ่านสำ รวจเนื้อหา (Survey
Technique) จากหนังสือพิมพ์ Student Weekly ทั้งฉบับ กิจกรรมนี้ควรจัดให้นักเรียนแข่งขันกัน
โดยผู้ชนะจะต้องอ่านได้คำ ตอบมากที่สุดภายในเวลาที่กำ หนด เช่น

2. How many reporters / writers have their names in Student Weekly ?

- ครูทบทวนการอ่านแบบสำ รวจเนื้อหาจากหนังสือพิมพ์ Student Weekly ฉบับเดิม
โดยสุ่มนักเรียนตอบคำ ถาม นักเรียนเปิดหนังสือพิมพ์ตามที่เพื่อนตอบ เพื่อตรวจคำ ตอบที่ถูกต้อง
2. กิจกรรมระหว่างการอ่าน (While-reading Activity)
2.1 ครูแจกข่าวจากหนังสือพิมพ์ 1 ข่าว เป็นข่าวต่างประเทศ และอธิบายส่วนประกอบ
ที่สำ คัญของข่าว คือ หัวข้อข่าว หรือ พาดหัวข่าว (Headline) ข่าวนำ (Lead) และ รายละเอียดของ
ข่าว (Body)
2.2 นักเรียนเลือกคำ ศัพท์ยากจากข่าว เช่น craze , upset , cockpit , aggravate เป็นต้น
ครูสอนคำ ศัพท์ โดยการออกเสียงทีละคำ นักเรียนออกเสียงตามเป็นกลุ่ม และทีละคน แล้วนักเรียน
จับคู่ ผลัดกันฝึกออกเสียงให้เพื่อนฟัง
2.3 นักเรียนใช้พจนานุกรมค้นคว้าหาคำ ศัพท์ยาก

Bangkok – Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra has warned stores they will face
legal action for selling glue to children addicted to solvents (the ingredients in many
glues that act like drugs.)
The prime minister said groceries, construction material stores and other shops
must not sell glue to youngsters for inhaling or they would face punishment for
destroying the future of children. Mr. Thaksin added similar measures would apply to
drugstores found to sell cough syrup in bulk to customers.

City police plan to install red-light cameras and speed radars at intersections. The first
camera, to snap motorists ignoring red traffic lights, will be installed at the Sri Ayuthaya
intersection in Phra Thai.
If the plan is successful, police will seek approval to call tenders for provision of
equipment at 127 intersections in Bangkok. Infringement notices will be mailed to violators.
Motorists who fail to pay the fines will be unable to renew their vehicle registration or driving
licences.
